A diversified income-generating investment portfolio focused on promoting financial inclusion in Asia.

Helicap Investments is the fund management arm of Helicap group. With over 5 years of track record, it manages diversified income products for accredited and institutional investors with the aim of delivering risk-adjusted returns and recurring distributions through private credit investments in Asia.

Investment Philosophy

We selectively invest in opportunities providing risk-adjusted returns, where downside risks have been mitigated. It emphasises the consistency of investment results to provide investors with recurring cash flows at a low correlation to traditional asset classes.
We focus on diversifying risk through investing in multiple geographies, lending segments and originators, providing the portfolio with significantly diversified exposure across an extensive base of underlying end-borrowers.
Our specialised expertise, networks, experience and proprietary analytics technology in the alternative lending sector provide an edge in accessing and evaluating investment opportunities, and this forms the foundation of the data-driven investment process.
Good investment results do not have to come at the expense of doing good. Through our investments, we promote and drive financial inclusion and social impact within underserved communities in Asia.

Leveraging data to make better decisions

Helicap has developed a cutting-edge credit analytics platform powered by proprietary technology that offers invaluable insights into the growth and performance of loan originators’ portfolios.

Utilised by Helicap Investments for both pre-investment evaluation and post-investment monitoring, the platform is constantly evolving with enhanced capabilities, including Dynamic Analytics and Fraud Analytics modules.

These modules empower Helicap Investments to perform in-depth analysis of originators’ loan books, allowing for detailed examination of specific portfolio segments or cohorts.

Bridging the credit gap in Asia

Increasing regulatory and compliance requirements since 2008 has reduced the availability of credit from traditional financial institutions and contributed to a US$500 billion credit gap in Southeast Asia. This has created a tremendous opportunity for alternative and FinTech lenders to step in and address the financing needs of 300 million unbanked or underbanked adults and MSMEs in the region.

Helicap Investments, through its targeted credit investments, actively supports the growth of the alternative lending sector, fostering financial inclusion and contributing to economic development in Southeast Asia.
